1 Peter 4:1-11 (NIV)

1. What word or phrase in today's reading speaks to your heart?
(v. 8-9) "Above all, love each other deeply...Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling."
(v. 2) "does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires."
(v. 3) "you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do."
(v. 10) "use whatever gift he has received to serve others."
(v. 11) "so that in all things God may be praised."

2. How does today's reading directly relate to your life right now?
(v. 8-9) "Being there for the people around me"
(v. 2) " GOAL. What I aim to achieve
(v. 3) old-self.
(v. 10) O.C.D., Dance, Compassion.
(v. 11) ALL activities ro events in my life.

3. How is God calling you to respond to what you've read today?
(v. 8-9) Just LOVE as God loved all people.
(v. 2) This is where all Christians should be as NEW CREATIONS
(v. 3) STOP DOING what doesn't please or glorify God
(v. 10) Discover hone and use the God given talents I possess.
(v. 11) EVERYTHING for His Glory

4. Your own additional thoughts/meditations:
(v. 8-9) This is what all people should do love and care for one another without complaining or expecting anything in return. Being self-less.
(v. 2) Being born again in Christ, would naturally mean leaving the worldly desires behind. Desiring only to please our Lord and Savior.
(v. 3) 18 yrs. not knowing or living for God. I hope i can spend the next 18 years to make up for lost time. It won't be easy but it's part of the process.
(v. 10) My greatest talent is being this organized secretary. It comes out that naturally. I guess dancing as well. But my heart of compassion. I don't even know how or where to begin utilizing this to help others.
(v. 11) Everything was provided and made possible by Him. So give all the glory, honor, and praise back to Him? It seems pretty obvious to me. I pray that it all happens that way. He deserves all the credit. It's the LEAST we can do about it.
